Relief Counselor / Weekend Shelter Worker

TSLI/HHB is a private, not-for-profit (501c3) corporation with programs serving adults with mental illness, homeless families, and persons with HIV/AIDS. TSLI/HHB operates emergency family shelters, permanent housing, congregate and apartment programs. Our programs are geared to assist individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and provide comprehensive case management services. Our employees provide assistance with developing skills in the areas of Assertiveness/Self-Advocacy, Community Integration, Daily Living Skills, Medication Management, Rehabilitation Counseling, Socialization, and Symptom Management. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills and supports necessary for a successful transition to the most independent level of housing possible.

TSLI/HHB is currently seeking experienced candidates for the following position (Brentwood):

Essential Job Functions
· Complete bi-weekly payroll and production of all reports.
· Prepare fiscal and statistical reports.
· Complete HHB budget, financials, and annual report.
· Liaison with government entities regarding needed equipment/capital improvements.
· Maintain financials for established and prospective grants.
· Input and process all Agency account receivables/payables.
· Reconcile Agency credit accounts.
· Prepare and complete bank deposits and transactions/bank reconciliations/cash receipts.
· Liaison with Blackbaud account software.
· Required to be ambulatory and present and able to perform all job functions without limitations.
· Comply with all Agency Policies including Agency Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Policies, Medicaid Compliance Program and Protocols and Justice Center Code of Conduct.
· Maintain attendance and punctuality. Notify supervisor when late or absent. Provide adequate notice when scheduling time off.
 Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Process unemployment, worker’s compensation, disability insurance, payroll, DOL, NYS payroll tax breakdowns, 401(k) reports, and monthly insurance breakdowns.
· Manage Agency insurance policies and process reimbursements between programs.
· Maintain Agency inventories including bi-annual furniture inventory.
· Prepare and maintain Agency property leases and related tracking.
· Maintain Agency automobile leases and reports.
· Process fuel tax reimbursements.
· Maintain spreadsheet breakdowns, including preventative maintenance and maintenance projects for all sites.
· Maintain bookkeeping files.
· Meet with staff for appointments and/or walk-ins.
· Reconcile petty cash.
· Reports to Chief Compliance Officer.

Salary: $57,000 Annual
